~ ACCEPTANCE ~

"Acceptance of others, their looks, their behaviors, their beliefs, brings you an inner peace and tranquility --
instead of anger and resentment."

As the Big Book of AA says, "Acceptance is the answer to all my problems." For myself I am finding out this to be true for me. Living in an household with family members, 4 adults and one new baby, I need not focus on faults in others ... I need to remember Acceptance always ... looking past what others do that I think they shouldn't do ... and just loving them for who they are.
To show unconditional love which gives me peace and serenity beyond my wildest dreams, I must look past their shortcomings and my own. I must look at what they are not doing "right" and not dwell on their not doing things the "way to wanted them to do." If I don't do that, then anger and resentments will follow and I will find myself trying to control things and playing God. We all know that doesn't work and it just causes misery and takes my joy, peace and serenity.
I am better off to "Let Go and Let God"... and just accept others and what they do or don't do, and just love them unconditionally as you love us all, God. Putting others in God's hands and not trying to control or make things turn out the way "I" want them to is the definition of ACCEPTANCE for me.

ONE DAY AT A TIME . . .

I will open my mind to the possibility of miracles occurring in my life and they will.
